Merchant Information


Company Name 

Company name refers to the name of the business or organization that is using the payment gateway to process payments. This may be a registered business name, a trade name, or a brand name.


Billing name

Billing name refers to the name of the person or entity that is responsible for paying the charges associated with a transaction processed through the payment gateway. This may be the same as the company name or it may be a different name, such as the name of an individual who is authorised to make payments on behalf of the business.


Legal name

Legal name refers to the name that is used on official documents and legal contracts, such as a business registration or incorporation documents. This may be the same as the company name or it may be a different name if the business has registered under a different legal name.


Legal Number 

A company legal number typically refers to a unique identifier assigned to a company for legal and administrative purposes. Depending on the country or region, this number may be called a company registration number, corporate ID number, business number, or other similar names.


Website URL

A company website URL is the unique web address that identifies the location of a company's website on the internet.


Support Phone

The purpose of having a merchant support phone number is to provide a direct and immediate way for merchants to get assistance and support with their payment gateway or service.


Support Email

The purpose of having a merchant's email address is to provide a way for the payment gateway or service provider to communicate with the merchant in writing.


Account Manager

The purpose of an account manager in a payment gateway system is to provide a dedicated point of contact for merchants to manage their accounts and provide personalised support.


Industry

Industry codes are a set of standardised codes used to classify and categorise businesses and organizations according to their industry or field of activity.


Descriptor

Merchant descriptors can be used to categorize transactions for reporting and accounting purposes. Shows on customers invoice and depending if Dynamic Descriptor will show on Bank statement.


EMID

EMID stands for "Electronic Money Institution Directive". It is a set of regulations in the European Union that governs electronic money institutions (EMIs).

ULTIMATE BENEFICIAL OWNERS LIST 

The Ultimate Beneficial Owners (UBO) List is a record of the individuals who ultimately own or control a company or organization, as well as the percentage of ownership or control that each individual holds The account needs to be saved first before given the opportunity to add information.


Security Settings


Hash Key.

The hash key for a merchant is a unique key or code that is used to generate a digital signature or hash value for payment transactions processed through a payment gateway. The hash key is used as a security measure to ensure that payment data is transmitted securely and cannot be tampered with during transmission. This will only be generated once the merchant has been saved.


Security Key 

Closed loop cards are payment cards that are issued by a specific merchant or retailer and can only be used at that merchant's locations or for their products or services. The security key is used to encrypt sensitive information, such as the cardholder's account number, expiration date, and other identifying information.

Adding limited login users refers to creating user accounts the Merchant Control Panel that restricts the user's access to certain features or areas of the platform.

Preferred Language

Merchant preferred language refers to the language that a merchant or business prefers to use for communication with customers, particularly in the context of payment processing or online transactions.


Parent Company

The parent company in a payment gateway system is the larger organization that owns or controls the payment gateway provider.


Program

Program Management API is a type of application programming interface (API) that is offered by the payment gateway service providers to enable programmatic access to their program management tools and services.


Merchant Group

A group of industry types to manage merchants.


Business Type

Individual or Corporate depending on what is set up by the Payment Gateway.


Department

Depending on what is set up by the Payment Gateway.


Open Date

The date the merchant account was saved and opened.

General Charges


Allow to use internal credit card storage

Refers to the option for users to securely store their credit card information within the payment gateway's database or server.


Allow to use external credit card storage

Refers to the option for users to store their credit card information outside of the payment gateway's database or server, typically with a third-party provider.


Allow to charge a stored credit card

Means that the system allows merchants or businesses to charge a customer's credit card that has been previously stored in the payment gateway's database or server.


Allow to process a pre-authorization

Refers to the ability to verify that a customer's credit card is valid and has sufficient funds available for a future transaction.


Allow to charge an approved transaction

Means that the system allows merchants or businesses to charge a customer's credit card for a purchase that has been approved by the payment gateway system.


Capture pre-authorization transaction automatically after

Refers to the ability for merchants or businesses to automatically convert a pre-authorization transaction into an actual transaction for the approved amount after a specified period of time.


Multiple charge protection 

Refers to a feature that helps prevent customers from being charged multiple times for the same transaction.

Allow Recurring Settings 

Refers to the ability for merchants or businesses to set up recurring payments for their customers.


Allow to create recurring series from transaction 

Refers to the ability for merchants or businesses to create a recurring payment series based on a previous transaction.


Allow modifying recurring series remotely

To modify a recurring payment series remotely, the payment gateway system requires authentication and authorization from the merchant, such as secure login credentials. Once authenticated, the merchant can make the necessary changes to the recurring payment plan, and the payment gateway system will automatically update the customer's payment information.

Refunding


Refund permission:

Refunds not allowed - The merchant can't process or request refunds.

Allow to process a refund - This gives the merchant the ability to process their own refunds. This will allow the merchant to transmit the refund requests directly to the acquirer without PSP approval.

Allow to request a refund - This will allow the merchant to only REQUEST a refund that will be subject to your approval - said approval will be processed on the "Refund requests" screen under Transactions


Allow to send refunds remotely

This will allow the merchant to transmit a refund request from his servers to ours subject to "White listing" his IP in the box hereafter.
